9 Inch Dalgren shell with water cap fuse dated 1862. This shell is in really nice condition.
It’s fuse is quite a bit worn but, before I coated it, I could sometimes make out the date, 1862.

A little bit of green corrosion started on top of the fuse that can easily be cleaned off if desired.

Here is a rare Confederate 10” Columbiad Shell that was recovered from New Madrid Missouri.
It was almost certainly fired from the 10” Columbiad that was positioned on Island #10 and used by the Confederates
against the federal gunboats that were stationed beside the town of New Madrid duringt the battle.
The shell is in superb condition and has a very visible mold seam.
